Hatha + Hatha Flow with Courtenay

Tuesday         9.15-10.45
Wednesday     9.15-10.30
Thursday       17.30-18.30

Hatha invites us to practice with attention and intention through breath-centered, conscious movement to reconnect body and mind, revitalize natural energy, and restore balance. Rooted in a deep respect for the ancient tradition of Yoga and inspired by modern approaches to asana, Hatha offers students of all levels a complete practice with the inclusion of restorative postures, pranayama, and meditation.

Hatha Flow takes a more dynamic approach through the addition of vinyasa-style sequencing.   Expect inspired themes and refined alignment in a nurturing environment in which students are encouraged to adapt the postures to honor their individual needs and evolve their practice.

Hatha with Amy

Friday     9.30-10.45

Students move through a series of asanas to open up, strengthen, align and calm the body and mind. Each week we return to familiar poses while discovering new ones. Special attention is paid towards alignment and the breath, supporting the student in their journey of discovery into the subtle layers of the body, mind and spirit. At times, classes will have moments of greater fluidity and movement to bring heat into the body, while leaving time to explore various asanas in greater depth. Pranayama and a brief meditation and/or savasana will complete the class, leaving you fully revitalized.

Hatha con Mudra + Mantra con Ursula

Lunedi      9.30-10.45

Laughter Yoga with Marian

Monday 2x/month         19.30-20.45   Next sessions: January 13, January 27, February 10, February 24

Laughter Yoga is combination of deep breathing exercises from yoga and laughter exercises, which oxygenates our body and brain, makes us feel more healthy, and energetic. In this class, you will laugh with easy & special guided techniques, and you will feel the benefits on the very first session!

We initiate laughter in a group, as a contagious & playful body exercise, practice laughter as a meditation and close the class with various relaxation & breathing methods. Laughter yoga is an amazing practice for anyone looking to bring more joy, playfulness and sociability into their life. Some studies suggest that laughter lowers stress hormone levels and may improve tolerance of pain. Yogis who attend, leave their session feeling uplifted and peaceful.

Morning Flow with Amy

Monday             8.30-9.30

Rise and shine with an integrated and energizing Hatha Flow practice featuring yoga asana and pranayama.

Para Yoga with Mary Cate

Tuesday          19.00-20.15

A ParaYoga class is similar to Hatha or Hatha Vinyasa and incorporates a number of methods (asana, pranayama, chanting, meditation, mudra, bandha, kriya, and visualization ). Every ParaYoga class has three essential elements. TAPAS (heat) which awakens the radiant splendor or personality that expresses itself as creativity, courage, love, and a melting tenderness. VINYASA KRAMA (wise and methodical sequencing) which allows you to move from where you are to a better place. And the final, and perhaps most important goal of any class is SMARANA (remembrance) which renews your experience that a part of you remains undisturbed through all life experiences.

Restore Balance with Courtenay

Thursday 1x/month    19.00-20.30      Next sessions: January 16, February 6

Harmony is our natural state, but the pace and pressure of daily living depletes us of our natural energy reserves. Consider this class as an extended opportunity to deeply nourish your body, mind, and spirit.  Drawing from a variety of movement and self-care practices ranging from Restorative and Therapeutic Yoga and to Accupressure and Abhyanga (Ayurvedic self-massage) and incorporating sound, scents, and hands-on assists, the practice addresses seasonal and situational causes of imbalance and replenishes your reserves.

Yin Yoga con Babettli

Sabato 2x/mese            9.30-10.45      Next sessions:
Domenica 1x/mese     17.00-18.30      Next session:

Lo Yin e’ so in!

Conscious Movement

Alexander Technique with Julie

The Alexander Technique is a method for learning dynamic balance and improved functioning of the mind-body as a whole. In this floor class, we explore familiar, everyday movements that we use on and off the mat. Throughout the class, we bring into consciousness our thought and movement habits and allow for change to find the most integrated and easeful use of our bodies.  This floor class was developed by Ann Rodiger and combines knowledge of the Alexander Technique, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff fundamentals, Feldenkrais, Yoga, Voicework, and various dance disciplines. The class can be adapted to suit the needs and interests of the students, including the voice, posture, specialized activities, and breathing.

Pilates Matwork with Alexi

Friday 12.00-13.00

What kinds of movement are good for our bodies long term and why? How can we learn to move in a way that doesn’t just tire us out but actually realigns the body and encourages better functioning? Do we need to be more flexible? How can we stretch safely and effectively for the foreseeable future? How can we use movement to defend against aging? How do we age gracefully? These are the kinds of questions we will ask ourselves as we flow through an intermediate level Pilates class. We will strengthen our cores and stretch our backs and certainly tone arms and legs. We will focus on breathing and balance and trying not to giggle as we challenge our bodies to move and play in ways that make us think. Finally we will let ourselves rest and focus on how best to recover, revive and thrive.

Meditation

Kundalini Meditation con Keri

Giovedi 1x/mese     19.00-20.30

Yoga Nidra with Amy

Thursday 1/month     19.00-20.30

Yoga Nidra, or ”sleep with awareness,” promotes a state of deep relaxation through a systemic guided meditation. Classes begin with a very short period of asana or exercises designed to prepare the body for the practice, which is done lying down in savasana. Using imagery and other techniques, the teacher guides the student's awareness through the subtle layers of the body, emotions and mind. By withdrawing the senses in this specific manner, the goal is to move through the layers of consciousness from the waking state, past the dreaming state into the deep sleep state, all while remaining awake. Yoga Nidra can be deeply healing and restorative, and in the final state a source of awakening to one's higher potential.

Relax Yoga con Lorenza

Domenica 1x/mese      18.15-19.00
