I am Ines Espirito Santo, an Osteopath with CDS/GDK Swiss recognition. In 2014 I graduated with distinction at the prestigious British School of Osteopthy in London, UK. I’ve been working as an Osteopath in Ticino, Giubiasco for the last 5 years and before that in Lisbon and London as a physiotherapist.
I am passionate about the human body, movement and everything that leads to a healthy lifestyle. Indeed, I believe that health depends on a delicate balance between physical and mental integrity, a daily amount of movement, adequate rest and diet. As an Osteopath and Yoga student, I also consider that both osteopathy and Yoga can be great contributors to one’s wellbeing.
Since I was introduced to Yoga 11 years ago, I never stopped practicing. At Mytree, I found a cozy home where Yoga, community and wellbeing are all in perfect harmony under one supportive roof.
Ines' Offerings
Functional Yoga Assessment and Plan
Bringing Yoga and Osteopathy together to support Yoga practitioners in discovering the postures and approaches to movement that will restore balance to body and mind. Conducted in tandem with Courtenay Mastain, E-RYT, this unique service is ideal for students working with an injury or imbalance, seeking to undo habitual patterns, or simply curious to discover which asanas and practices will be most beneficial for them.
From an osteopathic point of view, the student's general mobility is accessed as well as their ability to perform different asanas. General health status , previous injuries and diseases are also put into context. The information gathered from this assessment, together with the teacher's evaluation, provides the foundation for developing a tailored yoga plan.
